"I love my niggas to death
and love my foes with a passion
ignorance is bliss
but that knowledge keep me captive.
words got cruel intentions
but then the actions
sometimes destroy your innocence with Sebastian.
That's some random shit to keep to you askin'
you must abandon ship to be the captain
of your own ship
to find your own strength
you gotta ride it's doe or die for them Po Pimps
Huh, some late nights in the city
indian style, my thoughts travel like a gypsy.
Tryin to channel the spirits like a pixie
brain racing my mind move like a fixie
In my hood, they cookin crack where the kids eat
cause every dope boy got brick dreams
and every hood rat tryin to get cheese
niggas hatin niggas worst than clayton bigsby
yeah, it was only a sketch, but see the picture painted
cause around here ain't lifestyles of the rich and famous
you roll the dice enough, one day you just might ace it
niggas gamble with they life before they get to Vegas
Eddie Murphy aint the only one Trading Places
Alot crooks turn stakes just to help they cases
My main man switched on me
yeah I thought he was my dog but he bitched on me
my nigga doing 12, I know that shit lonely
every night I send a kite to my big homie
cause niggas use the word friend and that shit phoney
So when Manolo got killed I can forgive Tony
Uhh, you realize when your older
the less squares make your circle get smaller
I had to clear out the snakes from my corner
It takes a GI Joe to get the Cobra
And that's the message that I leave you
Signing off, Dope Boy
Letter to the People"
I've been following Curt@!n$ for a long time now. Lyrically he's nice but there's just something about his style and his charisma that keeps me checking. He's remained on the underground circuit for some time now, even after releasing two solid mixtapes in a year. Despite being looked over for the covenant XXL freshmen cover and gaining the attention he deserves, he continues to create good music. This video was released over a year ago and as far as I know the actual song never appeared on any of his mixtapes. Nevertheless, I still find the verse to be extremely clever and insightful.
