Last year, Shep and I found a website which ultimately inspired us to start-up our own movement(along with a swift kick in the ass by my girlfriend). Creative Control embodies the independence we aim to promote and within that embodiment, we managed to find Genesis. If you are looking for witty diction, honesty, and a methodical selection of production, hence, the Greykid should be in your daily iPod rotation.
Though I am still bored with rap, Genesis is one of the few emcees who can keep my attention. In a market where simplicity is king, the Greykid stays true to the art form of wordplay and standing on his #1 asset...independence. After watching Note to Pharrell 268 times, I then proceeded to search for his discography. While I'm still thanking the bandcamp gods, I managed to find and download 2 of his mixtapes(Grey Skies and Grey Skies 2).
