Jamaal's Top 5: Songs All Black People Know.

So that the "race Gods" don't strike me, I've finally completed my list for "Black people's favorites". If you are African American and do not agree with this list, simply put, you, Carlton, and Clarence should hang together more often(it was too easy to make an O.J. reference). However, if you: know of a neighborhood with 30 pairs of shoes on the power line, ever bought frozen kool-aid from an old black woman for 25 cents, ever put water in a ketchup bottle to "stretch it out", ever had your parents put your name on the light bill when you were only 12, ever been told, "Don't ask for nothing when we go in here", or "Ask your Daddy" or my favorite, "The more I teach you, the dumber you get", you will get a kick out of this list.

As was the case with the last list, no track list will be provided.

Song #1
Hint: This song will ALWAYS be played at a family reunion or random summer cookout

Song #2
Hint: Every black man and woman's favorite homosexual singer, who we refuse to call homosexual
Hint #2: This song will be played at any party(ages 2-82)

Song#3 I know I cheated a tad but I couldn't resist
Hint: 1 of the greatest gospel songs from one of the greatest movies of all time. If there's one part of this movie that will get black folks out of their seat, it's this one.
Fill in the blank: "See daddy, sinners have_____ to."

Song #4
Hint: Hennessy, fried turkey, collard greens, and egg nog) (Hint #2: Every black mother has this song on vinyl

Song #5
Hint: Cruise ships to the Bahamas, White linen, "panky rangs", "tight-neck" gold rope-chains, 5 or more black couples who try to salsa(even though the singer is Nigerian)when this song comes on.

Honorable Mention
Hint: Really? do you need one.
In true "black people" fashion, we have managed to "soul-up" a rather generic and universal song(for "our" greatest hero or the one we're "allowed" to like), just for the sake of....our blackness?????
