One of the benefits of running a website rooted in independent artist(specifically musicians)is getting opportunities to conduct interviews, go to shows, and receive emails from "unheard" artists. So is the case with Mar Melo.
A couple days ago, I received an email(jamaal@thesovereignspace.com -shameless plug) from Melo. From that email, I sensed the same hunger, humility, and aim for perfection The Sovereign Spaces seeks to embody and promote. After reading his email, I then took a listen to the link he provided, and without fail, a nostalgic head nod ensued from memories circa 1994-95. Simply put...Hip Hop.
