"Just my name is a daily word...Mos Def"..the last hours of...

It was my junior year in high school..I sat back watching a local video show off the late night tip. I remember hearing the VJ.."and next up is my man DJ Honda and Mos Def with traveling' man..lol..i was like this "Moss"(yes I said it wrong at first) Def is nice!!!! In all seriousness it was after hearing that song I verbally agreed to be that "traveling man" and head north for college so against my moms wishes. "I'm leeeeaviiiiing..I'll be back to you!!" So the name change for Dante Smith a.k.a black Dante a.k.a pretty flacco etc to Yasiin would be equivalent to a Christian going with Psalms, or Gospel even, some of the most important text in holy scriptures. Best of luck to..well Mos for now and Yasiin in 2012 in all future endeavors, and PLEASE hit us with that black star album!!!

To honor some of my most fond memories I just wanted to reminisce over some of my favorite Mos joints in last few hours of calling the broth Mos Def, thanks Mos here's to you..enjoy.
