Jamaal said it best, mofos are lazy as hell nowadays. Sadly, reading is becoming obsolete. The good thing is though, visuals are becoming more and more entertaining and thought provoking. Check out my favorite visuals from 2012.
Although Thurz', LA Riots project was released in 2011, he released several videos to accompany it in 2012. I slept on the album and it was this video that made me return to my itunes library to give it a fair listen. Best decision I made all year.
In terms of conveying a relationship turned sour, no video from 2012 can compete with Tiron and Ayomari's "Thing Go Right". This was easily my favorite video of the year. This is one of those RARE examples in hip hop of the video actually relating to the song.
A simple promo video for a trip to Belize turned out to be one of my faves from the year. The creativity from the Madbury Club is always inspiring.
I'm not sure what 2012 would have been without Iman Omari in my life. Whether it was his collaborative effort with Moruf, his production work with THC, or his own Energy EP, somehow Iman always found his way on to my ipod. Here's the video that started it all for me.
The sad thing here is that most of the youtube views this video got came from me watching it over and over again. The good thing is I'm really proud of how well this turned out and the work we put into it. We'll be able to look back at this and say this is the one video that inspired us to keep plugging.
