With a catalog as large as Michael's it's very easy to overlook some really great songs. We're all familiar with Rock With You and Thriller and Billie Jean but what about some of his other gems? As we remember Mike, take a listen to some of his
"Euphoria"
Euphoria is from his Music & Me album that was released when he was 14. Young Mike with a lot of funk.
"We're Almost There"
Mike was a little older and on his final album with Motown at this point. Forever, Michael didn't receive the commercial success as his other albums but this album was still pivotal in his career as Mike proved to be maturing.
"Dear Michael"
Another gem from his Forever, Michael album. Smooth
"Liberian Girl"
I didn't really appreciate this song until I was much older. In fact, I think it was somewhere in the last 3 or 4 years that I really began to like this song. This song is often overshadowed by the other classics on this album.
"Stranger in Moscow"
This is another song that I overlooked; mainly because I didn't necessarily care for his HIStory album. But when I finally settled down to actually listened to it, this song stuck out. It remains one of my favorites.
